Hi, I'm Helena, and together with my lovely dog, Shadow, I run Shadow Mosaics.

Shadow Mosaics was created from a love of colour, pattern, and the magic of transforming tiny fragments into something beautiful. For me, mosaic-making is about more than creating artwork – it's an opportunity to slow down, switch off from the demands of everyday life, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your own hands.

My studio is based in a beautiful old mill in Mossley, surrounded by a vibrant community of artists, makers and creative businesses. It's the perfect setting to spend a few hours immersed in creativity, whether you're trying mosaics for the first time or developing a larger project of your own.

I offer a range of workshops, from relaxed evening social sessions and beginner taster days to longer project-based courses. Private workshops are also available for friends, family groups, celebrations and team-building events.

My aim is to create a welcoming, supportive space where everyone can enjoy being creative, learn new skills, and leave with something they're proud of.
